Challenge: FLM Graphics Corporation has provided printing services to Volvo Cars of North America LLC for over 22 years. In the beginning, the vendor-customer relationship was typical with FLM printing a wide variety of marketing materials and drop shipping them to Volvo dealers throughout North America. While this system worked, customizing point-of-purchase and direct mail material on a local level was becoming costly and time consuming. Additionally, Volvo had no means to store and distribute approved photography and other marketing support assets.

FLM’s Objective: 12 years ago, Volvo challenged FLM to take a step beyond that of a normal offset printer and create a web-based solution to fulfill its marketing needs. They needed to implement a local marketing strategy that would protect Volvo’s global brand. The solution would be utilized by more than 450 dealers and ad agencies.

  • The web-to-print tool is linked to both offset and digital print as well as large format production. This feature allows users to create banners, posters and showroom wall murals with image files selected from the asset library.
