Product Description

Augmented reality (AR) is a recent technology developed primarily for video games and mobile devices. Using your tablet or smartphone, for example, you can point your device to “augment” the reality before your eyes as some combination of video, audio or informative graphics appears in your field of view and becomes superimposed on your real-world environment. Current applications of augmented reality use, for example, your smartphone’s camera, gps, and compass, deploying them to create a real time interactive experience in combination with a more “static” media—say, an ad in a printed magazine or a display on another smart device—to create a moving, 3-D video-graphic experience that engages the viewer directly. In this Taggar project for Build-A-Bear we created a unique augmented reality experience that heightens and focuses the shopping experience in front of one of their retail stores.
